Samphire Eye Crème [Prima Fleur No. 1214] is formulated to soothe the delicate eye area. Each ingredient in this all-botanical formula is selected for efficacy and gentleness, specifically addressing issues of skin wrinkling, loss of elasticity, puffiness, hyper-pigmentation, reversal and prevention of free-radical damage.

The first sensation upon application is a dramatic feeling of soothing, cooling relaxation of the eye area. It is provided by its namesake ingredient, Crithmum maritimum, a sturdy variety of sea fennel that thrives in rocky, salt-sprayed regions along the pristine North Atlantic sea cost. Its common name, Samphire, is a variety of the name St. Peter, patron saint of fisherman.

Distilled to an aromatic water, Samphire has the ability to induce the skin's endorphin release from keratinocytes and sensory neurons, and provide a sensation of soothing calmness. Endorphins activate opiate receptors expressed in the limbic or "emotional" brain, which plays an important part in the sensation of pleasure.

Prima Fleur Essential Oil: ORANGE

Orange essential oil is produced from cells inside the rind of an orange fruit. In contrast to most essential oils, it is extracted as a by-product of orange juice production by centrifugation, producing a cold-pressed oil. It is composed of mostly (greater than 90%) d-limonene. Limonene gives citrus that rich juicy aroma. Prima Fleur Orange Essential Oil [No. 190] and certified-organic Orange oil [No. 243] are made in the USA.

Orange oil has beneficial anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic and antiseptic qualities. Applying orange oil to the skin not only helps to reduce inflammation and soothe sore muscles.
