Orange essential oil is produced from cells inside the rind of an orange
fruit. In contrast to most essential oils, it is extracted as a by-product of
orange juice production by centrifugation, producing a cold-pressed oil. It is
composed of mostly (greater than 90%) d-limonene. Limonene gives citrus that
rich juicy aroma. Prima Fleur Orange Essential Oil [No. 190] and
certified-organic Orange oil [No. 243] are made in the USA.
Orange oil
has beneficial anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic and antiseptic qualities.
